Job summary

RNGD, headquartered in New Orleans, LA, seeks a Director of People Operations to drive strategic people initiatives beyond traditional HR. This role owns employment administration and partners with Safety & Risk, Benefits & Wellness, Talent Attraction, and Employee Experience.

The position requires a hands-on, doer mindset to build scalable programs, lead compensation analytics, ensure compliance, and foster a high-performance culture across the Southeast offices.

Qualifications

• Progressive People Operations or HR leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and compliance obligations.
• Experience scaling teams regionally across multiple states.
• Proven track record in improving retention, engagement, or hiring outcomes.
• Fluency with HRIS platforms and people data; ability to translate data into actions.
• SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or PHR certification preferred.
• Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable, and self-directed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Long-term interest in building something here.

Responsibilities

• Lead culture, engagement, and leadership initiatives across teams.
• Own compensation structure, benchmarking, and annual review processes.
• Ensure HRIS data integrity, automation, and audit-ready records.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Proactively identify issues and present root causes with recommendations.
