Job summary

Thrive Market in Reno, NV is hiring a Human Resources Business Partner to support our fulfillment team with benefits administration, payroll, recruitment, onboarding, and policy implementation.

You will foster positive relationships across the employee base, lead HR initiatives across multiple shifts in a large hourly population, and help drive a culture of inclusion, compliance, and continuous improvement at Thrive Market.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree is required.
• 4+ years of HR experience with benefits, payroll, and recruitment.
• Experience in distribution, fulfillment, or manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws through periodic audits.
• Manage benefits administration, including reviewing benefits with employees and processing enrollments, cancellations, or changes.
• Conduct detailed timecard reviews to ensure accurate payroll processing.
• Oversee leave of absence processes.
• Participate in recruitment efforts and coordinate with local temporary staffing agencies, as well as conduct exit interviews.
• Maintain HRIS records, employee roster, and compile necessary reports.
• Investigate employee relations claims and facilitate conflict resolution.
• Engage in employee appreciation events, volunteering, and cultural activities to promote employee engagement.
• Propose new approaches, policies, and procedures to enhance the efficiency of HR services.
• Handle unemployment notices, represent the company for local unemployment claims, and manage workers' compensation case files.
• Assist in preparing and facilitating change management efforts.
• Assist in preparing and facilitating the roll out of new programs.
• Collaborate with management to foster a positive work environment that values diverse talents and abilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
