Job summary

Shearer’s Foods, Inc. seeks an HR Generalist to provide comprehensive HR support to corporate functions and remote teams.

You will ensure consistent application of policies and programs, guide managers, and handle sensitive matters with discretion while coordinating across HR, Payroll, Benefits and Talent Acquisition. The role requires travel up to 70% and collaboration across multiple locations, including Ohio and Texas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
• Experience supporting corporate, multi-location, or remote employee populations.
• Experience providing employee relations guidance and supporting workplace investigations.
• Experience with onboarding, performance management, and HR systems.
• Working knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance practices, and confidential recordkeeping.
• Ability to travel up to 70% between offices.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR contact for assigned corporate functions and remote team members.
• Provide guidance on policies, programs, benefits, procedures, and employee resources.
• Partner with leaders to deliver a consistent employee experience across locations and work arrangements.
• Handle sensitive employee matters with discretion and professionalism.
• Support onboarding, promotions, transfers, leaves, and separations.
• Collaborate with Payroll and Benefits to resolve questions and ensure accurate data and documentation.
• Create consistent HR support practices for remote workers across locations and time zones.
• Lead leadership expectations with a service-oriented HR presence.
