Job summary

MANTECH seeks a Program Security Officer 2 to join our team at the Pentagon. The role involves advising on security, managing classification and program security, and delivering briefings to diverse audiences.

The position requires working across locations with discretion and strong knowledge of security directives. The candidate will help develop security policies and procedures, with domestic travel and up to 25% travel to OCONUS.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years security experience with HS Diploma/GED or 6+ years with Associate’s Degree or 4+ years with Bachelor’s Degree or 2+ years with Master’s Degree.
• Ability to work high-level, complex or sensitive security issues with discretion.
• Identify and assess sources for classification determinations, control, marking, and dissemination requirements including FOIA and pre-publication reviews.
• Substantive experience providing risk-managed security recommendations to program managers for secure mission accomplishment.
• Familiarity with ICD 503, 705, DISS, and Scattered Castles.
• Knowledge of Intelligence Community Directives and NRO Directives/Instructions.
• Knowledge of program protection methodologies and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and assistance on security issues to government and program security officers across locations.
• Provide classification management, program security, information systems security, personnel security, and physical security guidance.
• Conduct briefings and indoctrinations to diverse audiences.
• Make recommendations on security issues to Directorate and Office Directors and leadership.
• Assist in developing security policies and implementation procedures.
• Travel domestically and up to 25% OCONUS.
