Job summary

Cyberstrike: People Powering Government seeks a Senior Security Policy Analyst & Action Officer to support DoD classification management and programme protection at the Pentagon. The role focuses on policy development, staffing directives, and cross‑agency coordination with OSD, JCS, and other elements.

You will produce memos and briefings on classification, CUI, NISP and PPP/SCRM issues, requiring TS/SCI clearance and a deep understanding of DoD policy.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• 10 years of DoD information security policy experience (classification, CUI, NISP).
• 5 years drafting/staffing DoD Directives (DoDI 5200.44/5200.50).
• 4 years as staff action officer at OSD/JCS/OSD or Military Dept HQ.
• PPP/SCRM/CUI/NISP experience.
• Familiarity with Security Classification Guides and derivative classification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and staff DoW policy on classification management and programme protection.
• Conduct security reviews, assess PPPs and coordinate with DCSA, Joint Staff J28, OSD R&E and CIO.
• Produce action memos, Congressional responses and briefings on classification matters.

A fast growing, award winning DC based national security contractor is looking for a Senior Security Policy Analyst and Action Officer to support the Office of the Under Secretary of War at the Pentagon.

What you'd be doing:

Developing and staffing DoW policy on classification management and programme protection, conducting security reviews, assessing PPPs and coordinating across DCSA, Joint Staff J28, OSD R&E and the DoW CIO.

Producing action memos, Congressional responses and briefings on classification and programme protection matters.

What they need:

• Active TS/SCI
• 10 years DoD information security policy — specifically classification management, CUI or NISP
• 5 years drafting and staffing DoD Directives and Instructions — DoDI 5200.44, DoDI 5200.50 or equivalent
• 4 years staff action officer at OSD, JCS, OUSD or Military Department HQ level
• PPP, SCRM, CUI and NISP experience
• Familiarity with Security Classification Guides and derivative classification

Ideal background:

OUSD(R&E), ISOO, NSC, Army CIO, OSD or Military Department HQ — working directly on classification policy, programme protection and information security governance.

Experience coordinating across NSA, legal offices and federal agencies on DoD issuances is a strong differentiator.
