Job summary

MANTECH seeks a Program Security Officer 2 to join our team at the Pentagon. The role involves advising on security, managing classification and program security, and delivering briefings to diverse audiences.

The position requires working across locations with discretion and strong knowledge of security directives. The candidate will help develop security policies and procedures, with domestic travel and up to 25% travel to OCONUS.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years security experience with HS Diploma/GED or 6+ years with Associate’s Degree or 4+ years with Bachelor’s Degree or 2+ years with Master’s Degree.
• Ability to work high-level, complex or sensitive security issues with discretion.
• Identify and assess sources for classification determinations, control, marking, and dissemination requirements including FOIA and pre-publication reviews.
• Substantive experience providing risk-managed security recommendations to program managers for secure mission accomplishment.
• Familiarity with ICD 503, 705, DISS, and Scattered Castles.
• Knowledge of Intelligence Community Directives and NRO Directives/Instructions.
• Knowledge of program protection methodologies and risk management.

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Program Security Officer 2 to join our team at the Pentagon.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Provides advice and assistance regarding a myriad of security issues and concerns to government and program security officers in different geographical locations
• Provides classification management, program security, information systems security, personnel security, and physical security for the purpose of guidance to customers and industry partners
• Conduct briefings and indoctrinations to a variety of audiences
• Make compelling and articulate recommendations on current security issues for program security decisions to Directorate and Office Directors of Security, Program Managers, and Directorate leadership
• Assist in the development of security policies and implementation procedures
• Domestic Travel and OCONUS up to 25%

Minimum Qualifications:

• HS Diploma/GED and 8 or more years relevant security experience or Associate’s Degree and 6 or more years relevant security experience or Bachelor’s Degree and 4 or more years relevant security experience or Masters and 2 years relevant security experience
• Ability to work high-level, complex or sensitive security issues thoroughly and with discretion
• Demonstrated ability to identify and assess multiple sources for classification determinations control, marking, and dissemination principles and requirements which could include FOIA and Pre-publication reviews
• Substantive experience providing risk-managed security recommendations to program managers, in support of secure and successful mission accomplishment
• Familiarity with ICD 503, 705, DISS, and Scattered Castles
• Have a working knowledge and be able to implement Intelligence Community Directives as well as NRO Directives and Instructions
• Knowledge of program protection methodologies and risk management principles as they relate to appropriately protecting and sharing information, missions, operations, and assets

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to assist the government in the NRO Integrated Security Assessment Program (ISAP)
• Experience working with industrial security staffs
• Security Program Oversight Manual (NISPOM) security policy and procedures
• Working knowledge of acquisition lifecycle security requirements

Security Requirements:

• Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph

Physical requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
• Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations
• Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
