Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to deliver cybersecurity and security engineering services for a large government client at the Pentagon. The role emphasizes security architecture, risk assessments, and technical security evaluations in a 100% on-site environment.

Candidates must be U.S. citizens with an active TS/SCI clearance or Top Secret with SCI eligibility and hold a Security+ CE certification.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI or Top Secret with SCI eligibility is required.
• Active Security+ CE certification is required.
• Trellix experience needed.
• Experience implementing/integrating ACAS and HBSS.
• ePO/ESS experience required.
• Background in Windows/Linux system administration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary security engineering representative for secure networking and computing environments.
• Lead server deployment from initial setup to production with focus on development/build.
• Oversee configuration, patching, and operation of ~13 standalone systems from cradle to grave.
• Configure and manage ACAS/HBSS (ESS/Trellix) policies.
• Evaluate STIGs for compliance and implement secure designs for networks.
• Support security planning, risk analysis, and accreditation packages.
