Job summary

The Pennsylvania State Government Relations Director at the Alzheimer's Association serves as the principal staff for state government affairs and chief lobbyist in Pennsylvania, representing the organization before the legislature, governor, and state agencies.

The role develops and executes strategies to implement statewide policy priorities including insurance coverage, Medicaid, long-term care, and aging policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 5 years experience in state government affairs setting.
• Experience with Pennsylvania legislative, regulatory, and budget processes preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute a multi-year state legislative and regulatory agenda with PA priorities.
• Draft bills and regulatory language and secure bill sponsors.
• Testify before state legislative committees and train advocates to provide testimony.
• Develop relationships with legislators and state officials and coalitions.
• Track state legislation and monitor committee activity.
