Position Overview

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Beaver County Maintenance Organization, is seeking dedicated individuals for full-time CDL Equipment Operator positions. Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery for highway maintenance and snow removal, especially during winter.
• Assist on construction sites, impacting infrastructure safety.
• Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage and maintenance.

Work Schedule & Details

• Full-time, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Work hours may vary seasonally.
• No telework option.
• Salary may be non-negotiable in some cases.

Qualifications

• Completion of the Transportation Equipment Operator Trainee Program, or graduation from a CDL training school, or equivalent experience.
• Valid Pennsylvania Class A or B CDL with Air Brake restriction removed.
• Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate per FMCSA regulations.

Additional Requirements

• Obtain necessary certifications within the probationary period.
• Maintain CDL endorsements as required.
• Operate manual transmission vehicles if needed.
• Pass drug and alcohol testing.
