Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a skilled NDT professional to perform Fluorescent Penetrant inspections on critical flight hardware in a 1st shift setting. You will develop and apply inspection techniques, interpret results, and maintain meticulous documentation while collaborating with engineers and managers to ensure part integrity across aerospace systems.

The role requires NAS-410 training, Level II qualification, and experience reading blueprints.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Level 2 experience in Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection method.
• Must be able to pass Penetrant General Test and Specific Test by week 3.
• Must meet NAS-410 minimum training requirements in Penetrant Testing.
• Qualify to certify to Level II in Liquid Penetrant per NAS-410 with 400 hours.
• Familiar with ASTM E1417 Standard Practice for Liquid Penetrant Testing.
• Visual Weld Experience.
• Minimum vision requirements per job listing.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections using fluorescent penetrant test method on critical flight hardware.
• Establish and maintain inspection techniques adhering to safety and spec requirements.
• Interpret inspection results and apply acceptance criteria from drawings or work orders.
• Perform daily, weekly, monthly process control checks.
• Document and organize inspection results.
• Interface with Engineers/Managers to describe results.
• Willing to work overtime as needed.
