Job summary

Mesabi Metallics is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic to perform mechanical maintenance across a heavy industrial plant. The role involves installing, maintaining, repairing, and operating a broad range of mechanical systems including cranes and conveyors to support continuous operations.

You will work rotating 12‑hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and must have 2+ years of industrial experience plus MSHA training, a valid driver's license, and the ability to read complex manuals

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining hydraulic, pneumatic, and power transmission systems.
• Ability to read service manuals, hydraulic/electrical schematics, and OEM docs.
• Must pass MSHA Part 48 training, pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and operate mechanical systems in a heavy industrial setting.
• Follow safety regulations, SOPs, and LOTO procedures.
• Record parts usage and coordinate with warehouse for replenishment.
• Work rotating 12‑hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
