Job summary

Darling Ingredients is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance in the plant under supervision. The role covers electrical and mechanical work, fabrication, welding, and routine servicing of mill equipment.

Responsibilities include following safety rules, working with mill schematics, and ensuring equipment remains in good working condition, with opportunities to assist on construction projects and travel to other plants as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

Performs all phases of maintenance, including electrical and mechanical systems.
Understands the mill flow and mill schematics.
Maintains all equipment in good working condition.
Troubleshoots and repairs all mill equipment.
Maintains clean, neat, and orderly work area.
Assists on fabrication and construction projects.
Conducts machine repair and installation such as motors, gear boxes, piping, belting, bearings, welding.
Daily greasing and oiling of plant equipment.
Diagnoses and replaces equipment parts with little direction.
Communicates well with operators and management.
Follows safety rules and attends safety meetings.
All other duties as assigned.
