Job summary

Darling Ingredients Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the rendering facility with hands-on maintenance, welding, piping, and equipment installation. You will work with the maintenance team on repairs, preventive maintenance, and safety compliance.

The role requires forklift operation, basic electrical controls, and maintaining quality workmanship under demanding conditions, including travel to other plants as needed. This position is onsite in Clinton, IA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–2+ years of maintenance experience with forklifts, welding and piping.
• Preferred: vocational training and related equipment experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist installation of new equipment and on-site projects.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules and safety rules.
• Train Level 1 maintenance personnel.
• Perform welding and piping repairs, replace motors and seals.
• Diagnose and repair control circuits and VFDs.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and participate in safety meetings.
