About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Pega Lead Systems Architect (LSA) to lead and guide a pod of 7–10 developers in the design, development, and delivery of Pega-based enterprise solutions. This fully remote contract role is ideal for an experienced and certified Pega professional who is comfortable both leading technical teams and contributing directly to solution development.

You will be responsible for ensuring best practices are followed, conducting design/code reviews, mentoring developers, and maintaining high quality across deliverables.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a Pega delivery team (onshore and/or offshore) of 7–10 developers

• Provide architectural oversight and hands-on development in Pega 8.x environments

• Conduct design reviews, enforce design and coding standards, and ensure technical quality

• Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable Pega solutions

• Collaborate with stakeholders, project managers, and business analysts to align on deliverables

• Guide solution architecture, data modeling, and system integration approaches

• Support sprint planning and technical backlog refinement

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Pega Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA)

• Minimum 5+ years of Pega development experience, including large-scale enterprise projects

• Lead experience

• Hands-on expertise with Pega 8.x platform (application development, integration, case management, etc.)

• Strong experience with design patterns, guardrails, and performance optimization in Pega

• Proven experience leading teams and providing technical coaching in Agile environments

• Excellent communication and documentation skills

• Comfortable working independently in a remote, contractor capacity
