Job summary

Seton Hall University is seeking student tutors for the R.I.S.E Gen 1 program for 2026/27. Tutors will support peers in English, Mathematics and/or Science through 1:1 tutoring, small-group sessions and workshops.

Responsibilities include mentoring mentees, promoting academic resources, attending trainings, developing workshops, and representing the program professionally. Must be a Seton Hall student with good standing and eligible for Federal Work Study.

Qualifications

• Must be a current Seton Hall University student.
• Completed at least 30 credits at Seton Hall University.
• Be in good standing within Seton Hall University.
• Must have received a final grade of an "A" in English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Anatomy & Physiology.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.
• Be available to attend mandatory trainings and events.
• Must be eligible for Federal Work Study.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 tutoring, group tutoring and academic workshops.
• Assist students in utilizing academic resources and services.
• Attend and participate in leadership experiences and events.
• Create and implement workshops and programs.
• Be accessible and responsive to program participants.
