Job summary

Community Partners in Rochester, NH seeks a Peer Specialist to support adults with severe mental illness on their recovery journey.

Using lived experience and training, you will foster supportive relationships, help develop Wellness Action Plans, and connect individuals with community resources, while advocating for peers and ensuring timely documentation. Evenings and weekends may be required in crisis situations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D is required.
• Lived experience of mental illness and recovery and/or work in a Peer Support Center.
• Intentional Peer Support Training and WRAP Training preferred but not required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to utilize technology provided to perform requirements of the job.
• Hold a valid driver's license and proof of vehicle liability coverage.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with severe mental illness on their journey to recovery.
• Foster supportive relationships and help develop Wellness Action Plans.
• Connect individuals with community resources.
• Advocate for peers and facilitate open dialogue.
• Ensure timely documentation of interactions and plans.
• Evening and weekend availability may be required during crises.
