Peer Support Specialist
Peer Support Specialists are people in a peer-designated role providing direct services with a personal experience of recovery from mental health, substance use, or trauma conditions. They receive specialized training and supervision to guide and support others who are experiencing similar issues toward increased wellness. A Peer Support Specialist has made a personal commitment to their own recovery, has maintained that recovery over a period of time, has completed the 80‑hour Peer Support Learning training (or equivalent), and is willing to share what they have learned about recovery in an inspirational way.
Our San Francisco Geary Crisis Stabilization is a 16‑bed facility that provides immediate care for people in the local community with urgent mental health needs. Located in the heart of the Tenderloin district, we are designed to address urgent needs in a densely urban setting. We are committed to stepping up as a premier provider and making a meaningful impact in this underserved community.

$26—$26 USD per hour.
