Job summary

Crestwood Behavioral Health, Inc. in San Francisco is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to assist clients on their recovery journey. This role offers a full-time schedule (PM shift) at our Geary Crisis Stabilization campus, located in a densely urban neighborhood.

Training and supervision are provided to help you guide others with lived experience towards greater wellness. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and a personal history with mental health or substance use recovery,

Qualifications

Minimum of a high school diploma/GED.
A mental health/SUD lived experience.
80-hour Peer Support Learning or equivalent – completed within 90 days of hire or within 2 years of hire.
Has current techniques of behavioral intervention training within six (6) months of hire.

Responsibilities

Provide direct peer support services to individuals in recovery from mental health, substance use, or trauma.
Utilize personal recovery experience to guide and support others toward wellness.
Attend supervision and training to maintain fidelity to Crestwood’s model of care.
