Crestwood Behavioral Health in California is seeking a Mobile Response Peer Support Specialist. This entry-level role involves providing support during mental health crises, engaging in mentoring and advocacy for individuals recovering from substance abuse or mental health issues.
The ideal candidate must have a high school diploma or GED, along with lived experience in mental health or substance use disorders. The position offers both full-time and part-time PM and overnight shifts, with benefits including medical, dental, retirement, and paid leave.
Mobile Response Peer Support Specialist
The Peer Support Specialist is an entry‑level role designated to provide peer support work under the direct supervision of an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC. The Peer Support Specialist is responsible for assisting and supporting individuals in a mobile crisis in our Mobile Response Program. The Peer Support Specialist will engage in a range of activities to support individuals seeking recovery from substance abuse disorder, mental illness, or both. Activities may include mentoring, advocating for people in recovery, and building relationships. The Crestwood Behavioral Health Mobile Response Team (MRT) provides community‑based interventions for those experiencing a mental health crisis. Our team is available to deploy into the community to provide crisis intervention, de‑escalation, and stabilization. The MRT is staffed by Licensed/Registered Mental Health Counselors and Peer Support Specialists who can provide services throughout Napa County, including residences, parks, shelters, schools, and hospitals. The goal of MRT is to de‑escalate the crisis and safely connect individuals with mental health care and resources.
$24 - $27 USD per hour
