Job summary

Clarvida in California is hiring a Bilingual Spanish Peer Support Specialist to provide recovery-oriented mentoring and advocacy. This full-time role uses lived experience to build trust and partner with the treatment team to support client outcomes.

You will work on-site in California, helping clients access resources, develop daily living skills, and participate in community-based activities, while ensuring HIPAA compliance and professional boundaries.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Peer Specialist Certificate required.
  • Lived experience as a consumer of mental health services or as a support person.
  • Bilingual in Spanish required.
  • Valid California driver’s license and active auto insurance.
  • Knowledge of community resources and peer support practices.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage time.
  • Basic to intermediate computer proficiency.

About The Role

Peer Support Specialist provides individualized, recovery-oriented support services to consumers using lived experience to build trust and promote self-determination. This role supports clients in achieving recovery goals through mentoring, advocacy, and community-based services while collaborating with the treatment team to enhance client outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • Prior behavioral health experience preferred

  • Basic to intermediate computer proficiency
