This role centers on building trust, modeling resilience, and promoting self-agency through trauma-informed, culturally competent peer engagement. Working closely with the Care Coordinator, the Peer Support Specialist guides participants in developing life skills, accessing resources, and strengthening recovery and reintegration. Lived experience with incarceration or recovery is essential, as is the ability to support others with empathy, structure, and hope.
