Job summary

LifeStream in Florida is seeking a Certified Peer Specialist II to provide peer support services to clients in early recovery. You will share personal experiences, facilitate group sessions and individual meetings, and collaborate with clinical staff to develop recovery plans and connect clients with community resources.

Excellent communication and empathy are essential, along with confidentiality and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Certification as a Peer Specialist from a recognized certifying body.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a behavioral health setting.
  • Experience in peer support or related roles within mental health or substance use recovery services.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Job Purpose:- The Certified Peer Specialist II is responsible for providing peer support services to clients within the 0-5 years' experience range.
