Qualifications

• Must self-identify as a current or former consumer of behavioral health, substance use, or co-occurring disorder services.
• Complete state-approved training program and pass examination; certification within 60 days of hire.
• A valid driver’s license and agency-required automobile coverage may be required.

Responsibilities

• Share personal recovery experiences and model healthy coping strategies.
• Support individuals in building confidence, resilience, and community connections.
• Assist with goal-setting and navigating treatment and support systems.
• Participate as a valued member of the treatment team.
• Provide transportation support when clinically indicated; driving is an essential function of this position.
• Complete required state training, supervision, and certification processes (if not already certified).
