Piedmont Community Services is seeking a Pace to Recovery Peer Navigator to deliver recovery support services for individuals and families facing behavioral health challenges, including substance use disorders and mental health issues. The role covers PCS offices, local emergency departments, and potentially home visits, emphasizing respectful, collaborative communication with clients and partners.
Peer Recovery Specialists provide non-clinical peer-to-peer activities to empower health,
PACE to Recovery Peer Navigator to provide recovery support services for individuals and families experiencing a behavioral health crisis (Substance Use Disorder and/or Mental Health), needed for coverage at PCS offices, local emergency dept., and possibly some home visits. Peer Recovery Specialists also provide non-clinical peer-to-peer activities to empower individuals to improve health, recovery, resiliency, and wellness. Must have ability to communicate respectfully and effectively with individuals, small groups, agency staff, and community partners. Familiarity with principles of recovery required, Certified PRS preferred. It is required to obtain and maintain Registration by the Board of Professions within in one year of hire.
To be considered for this position, you must demonstrate a minimum of 1 year sustained personal recovery experience from a mental health and/or substance use disorder.
