Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) Essential Duties

• Conduct recovery oriented and educational groups under the direction of the Program Manager
• Engage patients in treatment through motivational interviewing and motivational enhancement techniques
• Assist with monitoring patient engagement and communicate with the treatment team regarding patient attendance, participation and any barriers or needs to support treatment involvement

Residential Coordinator (RC) Essential Duties

• Process incoming patients including basic orientation to program rules
• Support treatment plans by reporting client observations and supporting decisions concerning therapy, discipline and privilege (at a minimum twice per shift and subject to change depending on need)
• Assist case manager/counselor with client activities by implementing scheduled and/or requested activities
• Work cooperatively with members of the nursing and medical staff to monitor clients' vital signs, observe urine drops, monitor self-administration of medications, and chart all pertinent data
• Perform room and facility checks, at varying intervals, to ensure client's comfort, safety, and well-being

Schedule

Friday - Tuesday (2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.) with flexibility to accommodate agency's need

Pay Rate

$18.26 per hour

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have at least one year of recovery from substance use, mental health or co-occurring substance use and mental health challenges
• Must have certification in Peer Recovery Support (CPRS), or attain certification within one year of placement in position
• Ability to work within agency structure, accept supervision and participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, when applicable
