Job summary

Community Clinic in Siloam Springs, AR seeks a Peer Support Specialist to mentor individuals in recovery from substance use disorders. The role entails one-on-one coaching, facilitating recovery groups, and coordinating services, with a full-time schedule Mon–Fri 8:00a–5:00p and occasional evenings/weekends for events.

The ideal candidate will have lived recovery experience, NAADAC registration, and at least 2 years of sustained recovery, along with strong communication and teamwork skills to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have core state approved training for behavioral health.
• Must be NAADAC registered.
• Candidate must have lived experience with substance use or mental health.
• Minimum 2 years of sustained recovery.
• Minimum 2 years of abstinence from mind/mood altering substances.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Cannot have violent or sexual charges or active warrants.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support connections to detox and treatment services.
• Guide peers on goal setting, housing and SNAP benefits.
• Facilitate recovery groups and personal pathways.
• Help develop life skills like budgeting and coping.
• Coordinate recovery activities in work or community settings.
• Participate in outreach at recovery events and centers.
• Share personal recovery stories to foster hope.
• Attend MAT-related staff meetings to assess needs.
