Job summary

Brandywine Counseling & Community Services, Inc. seeks a Peer Recovery Specialist for ATDC to provide support services that help clients maintain recovery and access essential resources in the community.

The role requires CPRS certification, a high school diploma, and at least 6 months of relevant experience in substance abuse or mental health. Work hours include weekdays with no weekends and a strong commitment to peer-led recovery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS).
• 6 Months experience in Substance Abuse/Mental Health.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer recovery support services that provide emotional and practical support to maintain client/remission.
• Screen and assess clients for social determinants of health (SDOH) within 10 days of program entry.
• Assist uninsured clients in applying for health insurance within 45 days of assessment.
• Assist clients in gaining entitlements and accessing resources within the community.
• Provide guidance and assist clients in overcoming barriers in their recovery journey.
• Act as case managers and help clients obtain resources such as food, housing, and employment services.
