Job summary

Family & Children’s Services in Tulsa, OK seeks a Peer Recovery Support Specialist to provide peer-based recovery support through an integrated care team. Leverage lived experience to help clients set goals, navigate services, and access community resources.

You will work in collaboration with clinicians and case managers, delivering education on recovery, supporting self-advocacy, and documenting services in line with program standards. The role is on-site with a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or have HS equivalent.
• Experience as a recipient of mental health services for mental illness and experience working with adults with mental illness.
• ODMHSAS Case Manager I Certification due within 60 days of eligibility; valid Driver License; PRSS Certification Required.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and/or group peer support to individuals recovering from mental health and/or substance use challenges.
• Share personal experiences to build trust, inspire hope, and empower clients.
• Develop personalized recovery/safety/stabilization plans with goals and strategies.
• Help clients navigate healthcare, housing, and community resources.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure holistic, person-centered care.
• Provide education on recovery and wellness and encourage active client participation.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services per CCBHC standards.
• May facilitate peer-led recovery groups and participate in ongoing professional development.
