Job summary

Brightli is seeking a dedicated Peer Support Specialist in St. Charles, MO to help individuals affected by mental health and substance use disorders. You will use lived experience to inspire hope, guide recovery planning, and support engagement with community resources.

You will facilitate groups, share strategies, and collaborate with care teams while maintaining professional boundaries and documentation in line with state regulations and CARF standards. This is a full-time, on-site role.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Self-identify as current or former recipient of mental health or substance use services or in recovery.
• Knowledge of case management and recovery-oriented approaches.
• Ability to share lived experience while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to document clearly.
• Complete state-approved Peer Specialist training and pass certification.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in developing recovery goals.
• Facilitate peer support services and recovery-focused activities.
• Share lived recovery experience and coping strategies.
• Assist with connecting to community resources and support networks.
• Maintain timely documentation per regulations and CARF standards.
• Collaborate with treatment teams and referral sources.
