Job summary

Lenape Valley Foundation in Doylestown, PA seeks a Certified Recovery Specialist to provide peer-based recovery support in a crisis environment. You will assist individuals in all stages of recovery and connect them with treatment, housing and community resources while maintaining accurate documentation in the electronic health record.

The role emphasizes lived experience in recovery, empathy, and adherence to recovery-oriented practices within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and Teams.
Minimum 1 year in stable recovery; 3 years preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide peer-based recovery support in crisis settings using lived experience.
Engage individuals during substance use or behavioral health crises with empathy.
Support clients in all stages of recovery including engagement, initiation, stabilization and maintenance.
Identify relapse warning signs and develop coping strategies with clients.
Connect individuals to treatment, housing and community resources.
Document in the electronic health record timely and accurately.
Promote trauma-informed, person-centered, recovery-oriented care.
