Archwaysnh is seeking a Peer Recovery & Family Support Specialist to provide direct peer support for individuals and families through a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach. Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working with individuals, families, or community members in a helping profession, peer support, family support, human services, behavioral health, recovery support, education, or related field.
  • Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accurate documentation and follow-through.
  • Valid New Hampshire driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel throughout the service area as required.
  • Approved criminal background check and DMV record check prior to employment.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to participant-centered, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented practices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Direct Peer Recovery & Family Support Services: Deliver strengths-based, participant-centered support services to individuals and families through office-based, community-based, virtual, and home-based interactions as appropriate.
  • Support Participant Goal Planning: Assist participants in identifying strengths, establishing goals, and developing individualized recovery plans, family support plans, and other participant-directed action plans that promote stability, wellness, and self-sufficiency.
  • Provide Peer Recovery Coaching & Mentoring: Utilize lived experience, recovery coaching skills, encouragement, advocacy, and peer support principles to help participants build motivation, pursue goals, navigate challenges, and strengthen long-term recovery.
  • Strengthen Recovery Capital & Protective Factors: Assist participants in identifying and developing personal, family, social, and community resources that support recovery, resilience, stability, and overall well-being.
  • Support Multiple Pathways of Recovery: Provide education, encouragement, and support that honors multiple pathways of recovery, including mutual aid, treatment-based recovery, medication-assisted recovery, faith-based recovery, harm reduction approaches, and other participant-directed pathways.
  • Provide Resource & System Navigation: Assist participants in accessing healthcare, behavioral health services, treatment, recovery supports, benefits, housing, transportation, employment, education, childcare, kinship resources, and other community services.
  • Deliver Family Support Services: Provide family strengthening services utilizing the Strengthening Families™ framework and related family support practices to promote caregiver capacity, child well-being, healthy family functioning, resilience, and stronger family relationships.
  • Support Family Stability & Specialized Needs: Assist participants and families in navigating community systems, accessing basic needs and resources, utilizing Archways’ facility resources addressing barriers, and strengthening stability, including support related to kinship caregiving arrangements when applicable.
  • Facilitate Groups & Educational Programming: Facilitate and assist with supporting support groups, educational workshops, recovery-focused programming, parent education activities, family programming, and other approved Archways services.
  • Promote Community Connection & Engagement: Support participants in developing meaningful connections through peer supports, recovery communities, volunteer opportunities, family activities, recreational activities, and other community-based experiences.
  • Maintain Documentation & Data Compliance: Complete accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in RecoveryLink, QuickBase, and other approved systems while adhering to organizational, contractual, accreditation, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in Team Communication, Supervision, & Outreach: Participate actively in CRSW Group supervision, staff meetings, huddles, training activities, outreach efforts, community events, and collaborative problem-solving activities.
