Job summary

Eskenazi Health's Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center in Indianapolis seeks a Peer Recovery Specialist to support clients across recovery-oriented services, linking them to treatment options and community resources. You will utilize recovery coaching to promote engagement and access to care.

Qualified candidates will hold a valid peer recovery certification, have strong communication skills, and work within a multidisciplinary team to reduce stigma and support individuals through various stages

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active and unencumbered peer recovery certification required.
• Experience in recovery support services preferred.
• Valid Indiana driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in accessing recovery-oriented treatment and community resources.
• Provide peer recovery support across multiple settings including home, clinic, and community.
• Document services in the electronic health record and maintain professional boundaries.
• Engage with multidisciplinary teams to reduce stigma and promote engagement in care.
• Advocate for patients and act as a motivator and ally in the recovery process.
