InterCare is searching for a Full-Time Peer Recovery Coach to join our team at our Bangor location! Work Schedule:
Hours are typically Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with occasional late patient activity. Days and work schedule may vary due to business need. NO WEEKENDS! NO MAJOR HOLIDAYS!
Minimum Requirements
Primary Accountability
The Peer Recovery Coach (PRC) engages, inspires, and facilitates meaningful conversations with Patients who are part of the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) program and assists them with exploring, creating, and meeting their Recovery goals. The PRC will provide non-clinical services to aid individuals in establishing and maintaining recovery from addiction. The recovery coach promotes a recovery-based approach to member care, emphasizing respect, self-direction, and empowerment by providing peer support, personal assistance, education on community resources, and other supportive services for individuals with a substance abuse disorder (SUD).
Description of Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Provide consultation to SUD team to promote recovery culture, as defined by Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) (Recovery is defined as a process of change through which individuals improve their health and wellness, live a self-directed life and strive to reach their fullest potential).
Assist with substance use disorder treatment and provide supportive services.
