Job summary

The University of New Mexico seeks a Peer Learning Facilitator to develop and update Design Challenges for the Nuclear Engineering curriculum. You will work with a faculty supervisor and review progress regularly, submitting timesheets per University policy.

All PLFs will participate in regular trainings and Dean’s Office meetings to reflect, learn, and share experiences with peers. This position is open to all students, regardless of work study status.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in Nuclear Engineering or related field.
  • Knowledge of subject matter as described in qualifications.
  • Familiarity with research experiments as part of coursework or projects.
  • Ability to work with a team and independently to complete tasks.
  • Ability to problem solve and adapt to challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and update Design Challenges for the Nuclear Engineering curriculum.
  • Collaborate with a faculty supervisor and meet progress milestones.
  • Turn in timesheets according to University policy.
  • Attend required trainings and Dean’s Office reflection meetings.

Peer Learning Facilitator

Pay: $18.00 hourly

Campus: Main - Albuquerque, NM

Department: Nuclear Engineering (327A)

Employment Type: Student Employment

Position Summary

This job will require developing/updating Design Challenges associated with core Nuclear Engineering curriculum. You will be working with a team under the supervision of a faculty member. You will meet regularly with faculty member regarding progress and be responsible for turning in timesheets in a timely manner (per University policy 2610.3). Additionally, all PLFs will participate in regular training as required and review meetings hosted by the Dean’s Office to reflect, learn, and share experiences with fellow PLFs.
