Job Type: Part Time; Non-exempt

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:30 am – 2:30 pm (flex time available as needed)

25 hours per week

Compensation: $17.50 to $18.00, depending on experience

The Part Time Transitional/Supported Employment Job Coach is responsible for training and supporting Open Door Clubhouse members working in Transitional/Supported Employment Placements (TEP/SEP) for COMHAR, Inc. and throughout Philadelphia. The Job Coach will work at multiple sites where members experiencing mental health challenges are employed. Responsibilities include observing and inspecting members' work, providing guidance and support, and communicating member progress and challenges to the Clubhouse Placement Manager and Director.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Inspire members by highlighting their potential beyond mental health disabilities, emphasizing needs and aspirations common to all.
• Encourage and empower members for permanent employment.
• Handle multiple activities across various job sites with flexibility.
• Convey energetic and positive support to attract members and enable staff and members to succeed despite challenges.

Essential Functions:

• Collaborate with placement managers and the Clubhouse director managing placements with COMHAR, Inc. and other employers.
• Build trust with members during the Work-Ordered Day before placements, providing support as needed.
• Provide coverage for member absences in TEP.
• Obtain weekly progress reports from site supervisors.
• Report issues or challenges to management.
• Participate in scheduled Clubhouse meetings and programs.
• Maintain health and safety standards as per regulations and policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Training and Supervision:

• Complete a 12-hour orientation on psych rehab and the Clubhouse model within 1 year of hire.
• Complete at least 18 hours of training annually, with 12 hours focused on psych rehab/Clubhouse.
• Participate in mandatory in-services.
• Keep supervisors informed of issues and individual progress.
• Meet with supervisors twice a month for supervision.

Requirements:

• Experience working with individuals with mental health illnesses.
• Adhere to policies regarding confidentiality, HIPAA, and compliance.
• Valid driver’s license.
