Job Type: Part Time; Non-exempt

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:30 am – 2:30 pm (flex time available as needed)

25 hours per week

Compensation: $17.50 to $18.00, depending on experience

The Part Time Transitional/Supported Employment Job Coach is responsible for training and supporting Open Door Clubhouse members working in Transitional/Supported Employment Placements (TEP/SEP) for COMHAR, Inc., across Philadelphia. The Job Coach will work at multiple sites where members with mental health challenges are employed, observing and inspecting their work, offering guidance, and coordinating with the Clubhouse Placement Manager and Director regarding members' progress and needs.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Inspire members by emphasizing their potential beyond mental health limitations, supporting their needs and aspirations with empathy and understanding.
• Empower members to prepare for permanent employment.
• Manage multiple activities across various job sites with flexibility and efficiency.
• Maintain a vibrant, motivating energy to foster engagement despite challenges.

Essential Functions:

• Collaborate with placement managers and the Clubhouse director to manage placements.
• Build rapport with members during the Work-Ordered Day and support their transition into employment.
• Provide coverage during member absences.
• Collect progress reports from site supervisors.
• Report issues to management promptly.
• Participate in meetings and programs as scheduled.
• Maintain health and safety standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Training and Supervision:

• Complete a 12-hour orientation on psych rehab and the Clubhouse model within the first year.
• Undertake at least 18 hours of training annually, focusing on psych rehab/Clubhouse topics.
• Participate in mandatory in-services.
• Keep supervisors informed of concerns and individual progress.
• Meet with supervisors bi-monthly for supervision.
