Job summary

Terros Health is seeking a Peer Health and Wellness Specialist to join an interdisciplinary clinical team in Phoenix, AZ. You will provide recovery-focused coaching to individuals with Serious Mental Illness or general mental health diagnoses, helping them pursue health goals and develop living skills using 1:1 and group sessions.

The role emphasizes health topics such as tobacco cessation, nutrition, and healthy relationships, with full benefits, PTO, and a pay rate starting at $17/hour DOE.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required and at least 6 weeks of behavioral health employment experience.
• Experience in nutrition, fitness and/or physical health preferred.
• Peer Employment Training and Arizona State Peer Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Self-identify as a Behavioral Health recipient in recovery for 1–3 years and/or have family experience with mental illness or chronic disease.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and provide recovery-based coaching for clients on health and wellness goals.
• Assist in developing plans and tools to promote healthy living and independent living skills.
• Conduct 1:1 and group coaching on topics like tobacco cessation, diet, health management and relationships.
