Job summary

American University’s Center for Student Belonging is seeking undergraduate peer educators to develop workshop content and facilitate peer-to-peer programs that explore identity, campus climate, and inclusive storytelling through video media.

You will collaborate with the Associate Director and Assistant Director, plan seven educational programs, organize virtual spaces, manage registrations, assess needs, and help promote events while working evenings and weekends in a non-exempt, in-person

Qualifications

• Current AU student enrolled full-time under Federal Work Study.
• Basic knowledge of facilitation, dialogue and training development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with inclusive language.
• Ability to collaborate with students, staff and faculty.

Responsibilities

• Co-facilitate, design, and support 7 educational programs with peer educator.
• Organize virtual spaces for programs.
• Promote program logistics via Engage and emails.
• Develop registration processes and content for at least one academic year.
• Conduct pre/post assessments to determine student needs.
• Assist with marketing and participant check-in during CSB programs.
