Job summary

American University seeks three Inclusive Excellence Peer Educators for the 2026–2027 academic year. You will design and facilitate workshops, lead dialogues across differences, and support restorative practices to foster an inclusive campus culture.

Ideal candidates have facilitation or leadership experience, strong speaking skills, and the ability to engage diverse communities. This is a part-time, on-campus role with 5–15 hours per week and a starting wage of $18.40 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous facilitation or group leadership experience.
• Strong public speaking, presentation and group facilitation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, and outreach skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate educational workshops and presentations for students and campus partners.
• Lead Dialogue Across Differences sessions that foster respectful engagement across diverse identities.
• Support climate action and restorative practices initiatives under staff guidance.
• Attend trainings, plan sessions, and develop workshop materials.
• Schedule and coordinate with campus partners and student organizations.
