Job summary

Navos Behavioral Health, part of MultiCare, is hiring a Peer Specialist- Peer Bridger to support patients transitioning from inpatient settings back into the community. You will share peer perspectives on recovery, symptom management, and sustaining a healthy lifestyle alongside a multidisciplinary team.

This full-time, day-shift role requires CPSS certification and Washington credentials within specified timelines, plus advocacy and coaching to empower patients, develop housing, education, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred OR two years paid/volunteer work with individuals with severe mental illness
• Successful completion of assigned training
• Active CPSS at time of hire (or within required timeframe)
• CPSS certification required within one year of hire
• ACCR credential application within 30 days of hire
• Must have a valid Driver's License/First Aid within 30 days of hire
• Experience as a recipient of mental health services is valued

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in regaining control in areas like relationships, housing, education and employment
• Provide peer counseling and guidance to validate experiences and encourage active participation in care
• Serve as a mentor to promote hope and empowerment for patients
• Provide consultations from a consumer perspective to the team about symptoms and recovery experiences
• Assist in direct clinical services to teach symptom/behavior-management techniques and skill-building
• Encourage consumer self-help programs and advocacy organizations
