Job summary

Wise Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the OR in a pediatric acute care hospital in Dayton, Ohio. This PRN opportunity offers self-scheduling and a W2 employment arrangement with competitive pay.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of OR (Peds) experience, an Ohio RN license, and a BSN (or in progress), along with current BLS/ACLS; PALS is preferred. The role involves perioperative nursing and collaboration with the surgical team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year RN experience in OR (Peds).
• Ohio RN license required.
• BSN degree required or in progress.
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills.
• American Heart Association certification required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• PALS certification preferred.
• CNOR highly preferred.
• Prior pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery and laser experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• The OR RN provides nursing care to pediatric patients in the operating room and performs assessments and interventions during surgery.
• Assists the physician in the plan of care and ensures continuity between patient care units and the OR.
