Job summary

Hanger Clinic in Farmington, CT is seeking a Pedorthist to join our clinical team. You will assess patients, design, fabricate and fit pedorthic devices, and work with physicians to optimize outcomes.

A valid ABC/BOC Pedorthics certification is required or equivalent experience; state licensure may be needed. We offer comprehensive benefits, competitive pay, and a supportive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Current board certification in Pedorthics (ABC/BOC) or eligible.
• Equivalent education/experience to meet board eligibility.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• In states requiring licensure, ability to obtain and maintain licensure.
• May consider candidates without certification if 5+ years of pedorthic/prosthetic experience under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate pedorthic needs.
• Examine and evaluate patient needs related to disease and functional loss.
• Design of pedorthic devices and select materials.
• Take cast measurements and create device layouts.
• Perform fitting, static and dynamic alignments.
• Evaluate devices for fit, function and efficacy; adjust as needed.
• Instruct patients in use of devices; provide follow-up with patients and physicians.
• Provide in-service training to clinicians and staff.
• Develop relationships to secure referrals and exceed revenue targets.
