Pediatrics - Surgery Physician Job with Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, WV

Provide diagnostic and surgical services to patients at Charleston Area Medical Center, Inc and its affiliates, as per the employment contract.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver care to CAMC patients in Pediatric Surgery, adhering to high standards of medical practice and ethics.
• Coordinate care in appropriate settings and lead patient care issues, being responsible for outcomes.
• Report to the departmental medical director on clinical practice issues and to the clinic/departmental administrator on other matters.
• Perform pediatric surgery services at CAMC.
• Participate in Pediatric Surgery on-call rotations.
• Provide postoperative care for surgical patients.
• Report to VP, Ambulatory Services or designee, including Physician Administrator, on administrative and daily operations.
• Maintain active clinical privileges at CAMC.
• Relate appropriately with patients, staff, management, and colleagues. Maintain current medical/surgical knowledge and legal/regulatory compliance.

Patient Group Knowledge:

Must demonstrate competency in assessing, treating, or caring for patients across relevant developmental stages, including understanding growth, development, and treatment needs.

Competency and Duties:

Complete orientation and ongoing validation to perform duties independently. Maintain education, demonstrate customer service, comply with attendance policies, participate in quality improvement, and perform duties cost-effectively and in line with organizational policies.
