Job summary

UPMC Physician Services is seeking a full-time Scheduling Coordinator to join our pediatrics team in Pittsburgh. You will schedule patient appointments, communicate with patients prior to and following outpatient services, and maintain patient demographics with courteous, respectful interaction.

A bilingual Spanish speaker is preferred. This daytime role runs Monday through Friday, supporting work-life balance, with a generous benefits package and opportunities to grow within the system.

Qualifications

• Bilingual (Spanish) candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments and communicate with patients before and after outpatient services.
• Maintain patient demographics and interact with patients and others in a courteous and respectful manner.
• Answer incoming calls in a timely and efficient manner.
• Enter information into the EPIC or EMR system.
• Coordinate with nurses, medics, APPs and MDs when there is a question of illness severity.
• Provide coverage in absence of department secretaries and assist in scheduling related tasks.
