Job summary

Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL, part of Baptist Health, is seeking a Pediatrics Pulmonary Supervisor for the night shift. The role oversees the Pulmonary Department, provides clinical support and supervises staff to ensure safe respiratory care.

Responsibilities include advanced respiratory procedures, patient education, emergency responsiveness, and participation in quality improvement initiatives while maintaining high standards of care for children and families.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science degree required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required.
• Florida license as Respiratory Therapist (DOH) required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activities of the Pulmonary Department and provide clinical support to staff.
• Ensure safe, high-quality respiratory care and educate patients and families.
• Deliver respiratory care medications and perform advanced respiratory procedures (invasive and non-invasive ventilation, intubation, bronchoscopy).
• Perform arterial, venous, and capillary blood sampling; include analysis and interpretation, plus EKGs.
• Participate in emergency and critical care services including code team response and patient transport.
• Support quality improvement by data collection and assisting equipment assessments.
