Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate of Science degree is required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• NRP certification is required.
• Florida license for Respiratory Therapist is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activities of the Pulmonary Department and provide clinical support.
• Ensure safe, high-quality respiratory care and educate patients and families.
• Deliver medications and perform advanced respiratory procedures including ventilation and bronchoscopy.
• Perform arterial, venous, and capillary sampling and related testing.
• Participate in emergency/critical care and assist with code team and transport.
• Support quality improvement by data collection and equipment assessment.
• Maintain proficiency in respiratory therapy across duties.

Education

Associate of Science

Basic Life Support (BLS) Required

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Required

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification Required

Florida Licensed Respiratory Therapist-DOH Required
