Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Respiratory Care required.
• Current Florida licensure as Respiratory Therapist (DOH) required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activities of the Pulmonary Department and provide clinical support and guidance to staff.
• Ensure safe, high-quality respiratory care and educate patients and families.
• Deliver respiratory care medications and perform advanced respiratory procedures (invasive/noninvasive ventilation, intubation, bronchoscopy).
• Collect and interpret arterial/venous/capillary blood gases and perform EKGs as needed.
• Participate in emergency and critical care services including code team responses and transport of critically ill patients.
• Support quality improvement by collecting data, identifying goals, and evaluating new equipment.
