Position Overview:The Child Abuse Pediatrician will play a key role in providing comprehensive medical evaluations and expert assessments for children suspected of experiencing abuse or neglect. This position involves close coordination with social workers, law enforcement, legal teams, child advocacy organizations, and medical professionals to ensure the well-being of affected children.
Key Responsibilities:Conduct thorough medical evaluations for children suspected of physical abuse, sexual abuse, or neglect
Provide expert medical consultation and court testimony when required
Collaborate with law enforcement, child protective services, forensic specialists, and legal professionals
Educate and train medical students, residents, and fellows in the field of child abuse pediatrics
Participate in program development and quality improvement initiatives to enhance child protection services
Contribute to research and advocacy efforts aimed at preventing child maltreatment

MD or DO with Board Certification or Eligibility in Child Abuse Pediatrics
Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Residency and Child Abuse Pediatric Fellowship
Eligible for medical licensure in Pennsylvania
