Job summary

Galen College of Nursing is seeking a full-time Nursing Faculty member to educate and empower the next generation of nurses. The role involves engaging in the full scope of the academic nurse educator—facilitating learning, developing curricula, and leading program assessment while complying with state and federal regulations.

The position requires an active RN license, an MSN, and at least two years of clinical RN experience.

Qualifications

• Active, current, unencumbered licensure as an RN per the State Board of Nursing in the applicable state.
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is required; BSN-prepared nurses may be considered depending on campus needs.
• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse, per the State Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Creates an environment that facilitates learning and achieving desired student learning and program outcomes.
• Implements teaching strategies appropriate to learner needs, content, and context.
• Helps students develop as nurses and internalize professional values and behaviors.
• Uses diverse assessment methods to evaluate student learning in classroom, lab, and clinical settings.
• Analyzes student assessment data to inform continuous course improvement.
• Designs and implements program assessments to promote quality improvement across the program.
