Job summary

UW Health in Madison, WI is seeking a Medical Assistant for a part-time (60% FTE) day shift in pediatrics. You will prepare patients for examinations, record vitals and history, and administer treatments in a patient-family centered setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program is required.
• Licensure as an LPN is required or
• Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program or an Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program
• CCMA certification as a UWH employee or acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program – Accelerated
• One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA certification

Responsibilities

• Join our team of pediatric and adolescent medicine physicians who provide a comprehensive approach to childcare from birth through adolescence.
• Provide quality care in a compassionate and patient-family centered environment.
• Prepare patients for examination, obtain vital signs, document chief complaint, medications, and allergies, and administer medications and treatments.
• Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and education.
